Statement of Need:
**HYBRID PROGRAM** NYPQ Lang Auditorium and Livestreamed via Zoom
The field of surgery is a dynamic and ever-evolving discipline, constantly propelled forward by ongoing research and technological breakthroughs. The 1st Annual Conference hosted by NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Department of Surgery is dedicated to exploring these latest advancements in surgical practice. This comprehensive program offers a platform for education and presentations, delving into cutting-edge topics such as robotic surgery for gastric and rectal cancer, innovative approaches to breast cancer surgery, transcervical carotid artery revascularization (TCAR), thoracic aortic endografting (TEVAR) for acute uncomplicated Type B aortic dissections, lower extremity revascularization, advance in bariatric surgery, and effective management of thyroid cancer.
